City of Infernus

No one includes the terrifying secrets of a make-believe land in a bedtime story.

Three years ago, Ali’s younger brother Carter vanished. Ali and her two best friends find themselves trapped in the same place Carter disappeared to. The only problem is that this place is a different world, and no one has any clue how to find Carter. City of Infernus, S.M. Mueller’s debut novel and book one in the Infernus trilogy, is a story of a secret world where nothing is as it seems.

The trio soon discovers that this other world is called Infernus; a world older than their own, filled with equal parts mystery and magic. Ali, who knows about Infernus from her Grandmother’s bedtime stories, soon realizes that the faraway land she thought was make-believe is real.

Ali soon realizes there’s more than one reason her brother was stolen from her. Every day that she takes to reach him is another day that she risks losing him again. Before Ali can decide if she will learn to embrace the magic of Infernus once and for all, she must figure out how to survive—or her parents will find themselves with two missing children instead of one.
